Fifteen Awesome Patterns for Knitting Fingerless Gloves & Wristwarmers

Since I finally learned how to knit this year, I have been looking for some fun, functional projects I can try out. Wristwarmers (or fingerless gloves) are stylish and cute, so I thought I would start there. I found these awesome patterns come from TipNut.com:

These first ones here are Divani Armwarmers from NaturallyCaron.com. It is definitely an intermediate pattern using several different stitches, but i just love how the pattern comes out. Caron makes some really great and affordable yarn, and has tons of free patterns on their site.

Next are these cabled fingerless gloves. I think they are adorable. Cabling is not easy, and I reccomend practicing first. But once you get it down, you can make some really good looking, professional projects.

Here is a link to the PDF file for these, from TheGivingFlower.de . Looks like she has several patterns for several projects here, definitely check it out...

I really think this shell pattern is incredible. This i would say is another intermediate pattern from Knitty.com called Spyrogyra Wrist Warmers. If you can get this pattern down, I think it would look really beautiful on an afghan or baby blanket. I especially love the use of multicolored thread here.

Finally here is an easy, cool pattern from YSolda.com. These simple Garter Stitch Mitts are cute and can be made longer or shorter to fit your personal preferences.

These are just my personal favorites, the rest you can find here...

Be sure and stay tuned, I am in the process of making my own wristwarmers to show off at a DJ gig I have on Valentines Day this year. When they are finished, I will post a how-to. I plan on making them really simple, so even a novice can do them. I plan on incorporating some eyelash yarn to make them even more fun! Happy Knitting folks, send me links and pictures if you try any of these out and I will post them :)
